Jeffrey Free Luers Dispatch from Prison May 5, 2009
Dear Friends, Below is Jeff's latest dispatch from prison. Also, we wanted to remind everyone that the weekend of June 12th, please consider hosting an event in solidarity with Jeff's 9th anniversary (and final year!) in prison. Show your solidarity with Jeff and all those who have struggled, past and present, to make this world a better place. Hold demonstrations or gatherings and demand change. Plan an action that makes sense for your area: a demonstration, treesit, music festival, teach-in, stenciling campaign, rally, protests, or a public forum. Circulate petitions. Contribute to the legal defense for green scare defendants. Do what you think is appropriate. But please remember when planning an action or event think about how it could affect future court hearings. Jeff is in need of funds to help establish his life on the outside, as well as his education. A wish list is being expanded upon and will be posted soon, including a gift registry to help Jeff get back into the forest!
