Wednesday, October 1, 2008 : The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) arrested 1,157 illegal immigrants in a three-week action in California. Among the arrested, The World Journal reports, 420 were caught in southern California. Most of the illegal immigrants will be deported while some of them will be put into US jails.
