AB 1840 (Horton), the "Health Care Disclosure" bill, tracks corporations who pay their employees so little that they are forced to rely on public assistance for health care for their families. SB 1523 (Alarcon) would require superstores like Wal-Mart and K-Mart to complete an independent report of the economic impact on communities where they plan to build.
