On July 20, area U.S. Representatives Sam Farr and Anne Eshoo voted in favor of a Republican-sponsored resolution (H. Res. 921) supporting the ongoing Israeli bombardment of Lebanon and the Gaza Strip and praising President Bush -- who has blocked international demands for a cease fire -- for "fully supporting Israel" in its actions.
