In the same month that Congressional Democrats voted to override the Constitutional mandate that 2/3 of the Senate must approve presidential appointments, allowing a reactionary judge to be appointed with only 58 votes including 2 Democrats, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, consisting of 1 Green and 10 Democrats, voted 8 to 3, to favor cars over public transit, with the 8 being all Democrats, in a crowded City where driving a car can only be a luxury, and Supt of Schools Ackerman praised a racist, anti-workingclass organization.
