DESCRIPTION:Local director Liz Nord brings her critically acclaimed documentary,
"Jericho's Echo: Punk Rock in the Holy Land," back to San Francisco for
ONE NIGHT ONLY. In the documentary, shot in Israel and produced in San
Francisco, rebellious Israeli youth take up the arms of punk rock, loud
guitars, and mohawks in the most politically charged area of the world.
Through interviews, verite´ scenes and live musical footage, we see how
these well-spoken and outspoken kids deal with life in their explosive,
ancient region. "Jericho's Echo seeks to document and share with people
around the world this reminder: that within people there is always hope,
why else would they sing?" -Ian MacKaye (Minor Threat, Fugazi), Jericho's
Echo advisor More info at http://www.jerichosecho.com Screening Details:
