DESCRIPTION:NOW-TIME VENEZUELA, PART 1: WORKER-CONTROLLED FACTORIES is a video
installation at the Berkeley Art Museum (a.k.a. University Art Museum). It
will be there through Sunday, May 28, but admission is free to all only on
the first Thursday of each month. (It is free to UCB students and staff,
children 12 and under, and museum members at all times.) The exhibit
consists of 6 video segments, each playing continuously on its own screen.
The total playing time is over 80 minutes, so allow over 90 minutes to
comfortably view the entire program. Although the video will eventually be
available on DVD, the experience of seeing it on close-up, life-size
screens will not be easily reproducible elsewhere. Indeed, many person-days
of work went into setting up the exhibit after the videos were finished.
The very informative booklet distributed at the exhibit can also be
 downloaded in English or Spanish:
