DESCRIPTION:San-Francisco – Eth-Noh-Tec proudly presents "Takashi's Dream," an
inspiring tale of one man's personal account after the United States'
decision to destroy the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki with
atomic bombs in 1945. This event marked the beginning of the Nuclear Age
and our ability to extinguish the entire planet. "Takashi Dream" is a
deeply moving story of rage and revenge, forgiveness and reconciliation. It
is a must see experience, and it will change your life forever! The public
performances will take place on April 7th and 8th, 8:00 pm at the Randall
Museum, 199 Museum Way, San Francisco and April 14th, 8:00 pm at La Peña
Cultural Center, Berkeley. You will get the chance to meet Takashi
Tanemori, the hero of our story and talk with the artists afterwards.
Please contact Eth-Noh-Tec at (415) 282-8705 or info@ethnohtec.org for more
information. Tickets are priced at $10 and $15. School performances are
also available throughout the school year and recommended for middle and
high schools. Ask about financial assistance in bringing this amazing
performance to your school. Eth-Noh-Tec’s season also includes its FREE
(donations encouraged) Salon Series, a forum for performance artists every
third Thursday of the month. The upcoming Salon will be on March 16th, 7:00
pm at the Eth-Noh-Tec Studio on 977 South Van Ness, San Francisco,
featuring humorous stories from Bernie Sinsay, music by Rapid Transit, a
performance of satire art by Brian Shapiro, and stories by Eth-Noh-Tec. The
following month’s Salons will be on April 20th, May 18th, and June 15th.
Eth-Noh-Tec is an interdisciplinary theater that is at once precision
choreography, lyrical word-weaving, graceful, playful and poetic. By
layering ancient Asian mythologies, folktales and Asian urban legends with
Asian American sensibilities, Eth-Noh-Tec has created an exciting new blend
of storytelling and kinetic theater. \n
