 nationally syndicated cartoon strip This Modern World. His work appears 
 each week in Salon.com and in alternative newspapers across the country. He 
 has also been featured in the New York Times, U.S. News & World Report, The 
 New Yorker, Esquire, and elsewhere. The former San Francisco resident is a 
 two-time recipient of the Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award for
