DESCRIPTION:WHAT: Bay Area Women in Film And TV (BAWIFT) sponsors Women in Film and 
 Television International's Short Film Showcase in honor of International 
 Women's Day. The WIFTI Showcase screenings will take place in cities around 
 the world on the same day, as a celebration of outstanding films by 
 international women directors encompassing a broad range of styles, visions 
 and passions worldwide. Together, the seven short films in the program have 
 garnered over fifty international awards including a 2005 Academy Award.
