 Building)  Amory Starr, PhD, is an activist, sociologist, and documentary 
 filmmaker. Her  first book, Naming the Enemy: Anti-Corporate Movements 
 Confront Globalization (2000), was the first systematic documentation of 
 the emergence of the alterglobalization movement. Her second book, Global 
 Revolt: A Guide to Alterglobalization (2005) is an enticing guidebook to 
 the movement. She is director of the documentary This is What Free Trade 
 Looks Like (2004, http://www.activistmediaproject.net. She has participated 
 in most of the North American alterglobalization protests, as well as 
 worked in local labor, police, anti-racist, food and agriculture, and 
 anti-war struggles. She is co-founder of the Institute for the Study of 
 Dissent & Social Control (http://www.dissensio.org).  This event is free
