 Offering an innovative media studies education for social change, the New 
 College Media Studies Graduate Program is founded on the belief that 
 vibrant alternative media are urgently needed to renew our democracy and 
 achieve peace and social justice. The program encourages media makers to 
 speak truth to power, expose injustice and enable marginalized communities 
 to utilize media – and in these ways create a forum for the practice of
