DESCRIPTION:Now you can see SF's most passionate songwriters break from their glamorous 
 full band appearances, and unveil their hearts and souls at an intimate 
 "round robin" gathering.  This month's Songwriter Showcase features Heather 
 Combs, Acoustic Son, Jay Nash, and Trevor Justice.  The Hotel Utah features 
 a full bar and dinner menu (including veggie dishes), so come early for 
 table seating and a hearty dinner.  Admission is $7 at the door, but you 
 get 2-for-1 admission and reserved seats when you buy advance tix at 
 http://www.acousticsongwriters.com  The first four people to come with a 
 party of four will each get three CDs from the artists (a $45 value!).  
 Heather Combs plays guitar with reckless abandon and thrives on connecting 
 with the audience. Her voice is sweet and then rough, strong and then   
 vulnerable, but always honest and true. The Heather Combs Band, was voted 
 "Best Band of the Bay Area" two years in a row by San Francisco Magazine.  
 Acoustic Son blends the style of Fleetwood Mac with a taste of Dave 
 Matthews for a uniquely enjoyable acoustic/electric sound. With voices rich 
 as heavy cream, singer/songwriters Ken Kingsbury and Carolyn Shaw entertain 
 with a strong repertoire of original songs.  Jay Nash has "Loose, gorgeous 
 melodies and songs full of confidence but without swagger", says Jeff   
 Miller of the L.A. Times. In the last two years, he's played 350+ shows in 
 16 states. Nash also wrote and recorded the original musical score for the 
 the feature length film, "Southbounders".  Trevor Justice is an 
 award-winning composer and fiery singer/songwriter. He inspires fans with 
 rabble-rousing anthems and endears them with soulful story songs about 
 love, fear, and courage. He also sings about saving the planet, giving 
 thanks, veganism, civil liberties, and global democracy.\n
