DESCRIPTION:Join Bay Area Vegetarians as we stick up for the chickens and protest the
Colonel's secret ingredient (animal cruelty) at the San Rafael KFC at 555
Second Street. New or experienced activists are welcome. This is a low-key
protest, all signs and leaflets provided. We do this monthly, usually
happening on the 1st Friday but check calendar to confirm. If you can't
make this date but want to help at future ones, please email me. For more
info on this nationwide campaign to get KFC to mandate better conditions
for the chickens slaughtered, go to
 http://www.kentuckyfriedcruelty.com/index.asp From Chris Overton, KFC
campaign coordinator for PETA, "These demos are a VERY important part of
our campaign to improve animal welfare standards that corporations require
of their suppliers. Every time you attend one of these demos, you are
helping to ensure that life improves for billions of animals all over the
 country."\n https://www.indybay.org/newsitems/2005/11/01/79773.php
