DESCRIPTION:From New Orleans to Sudan, from Haiti to Niger, African People Worldwide
Face US-Created Crisis OMALI YESHITELA ON TOUR: "Why We Need Black
Power!" Presenting the new book by the Chairman of the African People's
Socialist Party and founder of the Uhuru Movement, "Omali Yeshitela
 Speaks!" Tuesday, September 27, 2005 Fellowship Hall 390 - 27th St.,
Oakland (between Broadway & Telegraph) A Call to White People: Stand in
Solidarity with the Movement for African Liberation Thousands of African
People are being made homeless by Hurricane Katrina. Thousands more will
suffer from the criminal neglect of the US government which stood by and
refused to strengthen the levees to stop the flooding, knowing that the
only people left in the city would be tens of thousands of African people
living in the low-lying areas. Currently, African working class and poor
people are virtual prisoners, surrounded by National Guard with SWAT teams
sent into the city with "shoot to kill" orders. This upheaval for the
African community is nothing new. From its support for the massacres in
Haiti to the famine in Niger and the genocide in the Congo, the US has made
it clear that African people are expendible. We call on the white community
to stand for justice and reparations for the African community. Sponsored
by the African People's Solidarity Commitee and the Uhuru Solidarity
 Movement, 510-625-1106, uhurureparations@yahoo.com \n
