DESCRIPTION:Illegal logging is continuing in the Sequoia National Monument. While
Sierra Nevada Earth First! has participated in and fully supports legal
remedies to deal with logging in the Monument, we recognize that, should
legal options fail, additional steps will be necessary to defend the
forest. Please join with activists seeking to protect the few remaining
wildlands the Sierra Nevada mountains. Sierra Nevada Earth First! activists
are hosting a camp Labor Day Weekend to do surveying of logging units, to
discuss the issues involved, to plan for a long-term campaign to protect
our forests, and to have a good time around the campfire. YOU DO NOT HAVE
TO BE THERE THE ENTIRE TIME! ANY AMOUNT OF HOURS OR DAYS WILL HELP. \n
