DESCRIPTION:Dusk at Animal Place is one of several opportunities for the public to 
 visit this 60-acre sanctuary for abused and discarded farmed animals in 
 Vacaville. This is a more exclusive open-house event, where adults receive 
 a private tour to experience the sanctuary as the sun goes down.  Sunset is 
 an extra-special time at the farm -- with the oak-covered hills transformed 
 into gold -- and visitors get to help lock up the turkeys and chickens, 
 call the goats in from hillsides, give the baby pot-bellied pigs their last 
 belly rub of the day, and walk the dogs.  After tucking in the critters for 
 the night, giving many of them -- including the dogs, pigs, and rabbits -- 
 their evening meals, visitors enjoy refreshments, too: wine and appetizers 
 al fresco.  The dusk tours are on Saturday, August 20 (beginning at 7:00 
 p.m.), and Saturday, September 3 (beginning at 6:30 p.m.).  The cost is

 discarded farmed animals located in Vacaville, California.  Since 1989, 
 Animal Place has been taking in animals who have been abused or neglected 
 and have no place else to go.  Animals rescued from auctions and stockyards 
 and animals used in research also make up the many animals who share 60 
 acres of forest, meadow, pasture, hills and a small lake, peacefully living 
 out the remainder of their lives.  In addition to providing the day-to-day 
 care of animals, Animal Place is an advocacy organization offering farm
