 is an opportunity to see the documentary film by first time director\nKevin 
 Epps that has garnered acclaim via previous one off screenings 
 at\nindependent film festivals around the U.S. It returns by popular demand 
 to\nthe Bay Area after a weekend of sold out shows in February @ 
 Berkeley\'s Fine\nArts Cinema and San Francisco\'s Red Vic.\n\nWinner of 
 the audience choice award at SF\'s Black Film Festival, Straight\nOutta 
 Hunters Point was recognized by the San Francisco Bay Guardian with 
 a\nGoldie Outstanding Local Discovery award last November. Recently Epps 
 has\npresented the film in an educational outreach role at high schools, 
 colleges\nand universities including UCLA, Sonoma State, and UC 
 Berkeley.\n\nSince screenings at festivals in Santa Fe NM, Park City UT and 
 elsewhere,\nthe director, in association with Berkeley based editor Josh 
 Callaghan have\nretooled the film to a taught 75 minute cut.\n\nS.O.H.P 
 will be screening each night for a full week at 9:15 p.m in 
 Berkeley\nbeginning Friday May 10th - 17th at The Fine Arts Cinema. This is 
 also a\ngood time to visit the Fine Arts Cinema before it closes in June 
 for a\nconstruction project that will darken the theater until 2004.\n\nThe 
 film will also show again at San Francisco\'s Red Vic Moviehouse May\n23rd 
 - 27th and for one showing in San Rafael\'s Film Center on May
