DESCRIPTION:Come and hear a talk and participate in a debate about the possibility 
 of\nrevolution in the USA.\n\nThe brutality of the "war on terrorism" has 
 become all too apparent.\nCivilians in Afghanistan and Palestine have been 
 massacred by US made\narmaments, people in Iraq, Colombia, the Philippines 
 and  elsewhere await a\nsimilar onslaught. At home the constitution has 
 been thrown away, along with\nenvironmental, and anti-nuclear treaties. 
 People are being rounded up on the\nbasis of ethnic background and held for 
 months - without trial or\nprosecution.\n\nThis has led many Americans to 
 start asking questions about what they can do\nto make this world a better 
 place.  What is the alternative to a "war on\nterrorism"?  Politicians 
 speak cynically of making "realistic" reforms,\nwhile they slash social 
 spending on health, education and welfare.\nSocialists have a different 
 view of what is realistic.  Socialists believe\nthat another world is 
 possible, one which is driven by the needs of the\npeople not the demand 
 for profit.\n\nBut this world won't come about easily,  those who currently 
 hold power in\nour society have proved that they will not abandon it 
 without a fight. And\nthey weild a lot of force - the US has the largest 
 military in the world.\nHow in the face of these obstacles can a revolution 
 in the US be possible?\nIn a world in which 6 million children die every 
 year of malnutrition and in\na country where at least 12 percent of the 
 people live below the poverty\nline, this is a crucial question.\n\nThis
