DESCRIPTION:This class will focus on remedies available for people with criminal 
 records in Alameda County. Many people believe that their records no long 
 impact them once they've completed their sentence, unfortunately this is 
 not true. This seminar will walk through the remedies available for 
 individuals with criminal records in California. It will outline the legal 
 process as well as the benefits and limitations of the remedies.  BIO: 
 Margaret Richardson is a staff attorney in the Decriminalization of Poverty 
 Practice at the East Bay Community Law Center in Berkeley, CA. Her work 
 focuses on the intersection of poverty and criminal law including 
 representing individuals seeking to clean up their criminal records, 
 victims of police misconduct at citizen police review board hearings in 
 Oakland and Berkeley, status citation defense for homeless people in 
 Berkeley.  This class is part of a Free School that has recently started in
