DESCRIPTION:Help rebuild the Gaza home that Rachel Corrie gave her life to defend!
Honored guest speakers at this event will be Cindy and Craig Corrie,
Rachel's parents, and Samah and Khaled Nasrallah, the Palestinian family
whose home Rachel was trying to protect when she was killed by an Israeli
bulldozer in 2003. A portion of the proceeds from the event will be used
to rebuild the Nasrallah family's home and others in Gaza, where 3100
Palestinian homes have been demolished by the Israeli government. Cindy
and Craig Corrie have become nationally known activists as they call on the
U.S. government to "undertake a full, fair, and expeditious investigation
into the death of Rachel Corrie" and continue to work for a just peace in
Palestine and Israel. Samah and Khaled Nasrallah are part of the extended
family that lived in the home Rachel sought to protect. Even after Rachel
was killed, the complete demolition of all 2200 homes in the surrounding
neighborhood went on. The Nasrallah family continued to live in their home
for seven months before it, too, was destroyed. $10 - $20 suggested
donation. Sponsored by Peninsula Peace and Justice Center, The Rebuilding
Alliance, and the Rachel Corrie Foundation for Peace and Justice.\n
