DESCRIPTION:Join us on Friday, April 15th to celebrate the opening of the long-awaited 
 VISUAL AID AT 16 WITH DAVID DASHIELL'S QUEER MYSTERIES, a new exhibition at 
 Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, 701 Mission Street @ 3rd from 8-11 pm.  
 The exhibition celebrates sixteen years of accomplishment by Visual Aid, 
 and showcases important works by eleven Visual Aid artists: including 
 paintings, collages, photographs and conceptual installations by Michael 
 Beck, David Faulk, Horea, Michael Johnstone, David King, Elliott Linwood, 
 Ro Lopez, Nevin Robinson, Veronica Rojas, Jim Winters and Elena 
 Zolotnitsky.      Queer Mysteries, the provocative epic and erotic 
 room-sized, mural on Plexiglas installation by David Cannon Dashiell, is 
 also featured (on loan from the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.) This 
 exhibition was curated by Rene de Guzman, Visual Arts Curator and Berin 
 Golonu, Visual Arts Assistant Curator.  $12 at the door or $10 in advance. 
 Free for YBCA Members and a guest. The party features local DJ Bus Station 
 John (The Tubesteak Connection), cash bars, and live performances by hey

 The exhibition will run April 16 2005-June 26, 2005.  Visual Aid helps 
 produce, present, and preserve the work of professional artists whose 
 careers are challenged because of a life-threatening illness. We serve 
 professional artists from the nine-county Bay Area, providing artists with 
 direct services from art supplies to exhibitions and career development.\n
