DESCRIPTION:There will still be banners, signs, petitions, (even homemade cookies and
bread) and leaflets, but no chants and marches, instead peace activists
will pull up chairs and invite people to speak about their feelings and
thoughts about the 9/11 tragedy and our government's response. They will
write down what people feel and think, and ask, "How do you think we can
defuse terrorism?" and "How can we make a safer, better world for our
children, all children?" \n \n To defuse violence and anger, listening
is a very powerful non-violent technique. Appreciative inquiry, encourages
creative thought towards realizing higher human goals; when people can
engage their creativity in helping to solve world problems, they feel
empowered, energized and can actually accomplish a great deal."\n\n
This weekly event encourages dialogue, public awareness of vital issues,
networking, organizing towards social change. Sponsored by Women's
International League for Peace and Freedom. All are welcome.\n\nMore
