DESCRIPTION:THE MEMORIAL PARTY FOR JUDI BARI presented by Steve Jacobson Seven days
after her death, over 1,000 friends and supporters gathered in Judi’s
hometown of Willits on March 9, 1997, to celebrate her life. Judi asked
that her friends gather for a "party" in her memory. The "party" began
outdoors in tree-shaded Recreation Grove Park on a sunny, breezy, Sunday
afternoon. Food was shared, musicians played, and words were spoken as
Bari's family, friends and colleagues comforted one another with
remembrances of an exceptional woman. As dusk approached, a kilted
bagpiper and a contingent of hand drummers led a procession several blocks
away to a community hall, the Willits Community Center. Food was served
and the program continued with music, speakers, and slide shows. Included
among the participants were former Representative Dan Hamburg and Earth
First! co-founder Mike Roselle. 1997 Before and after the film,
everyone’s invited to indulge in our Humanist Coffee House \n
