DESCRIPTION:This 2004 documentary follows the case of the Cuban Five – five men from
 Cuba who have been unjustly imprisoned in the U.S. for doing nothing more
 than preventing terrorism against the Cuban people. They were arrested by
 the FBI in 1998 and have been in prison ever since. They were sentenced in
 Miami federal court to four life terms and 75 years collectively; the case
 is currently on appeal. "Mission Against Terror" shows historical footage
 of terrorism against Cuba and provides a moving depiction of the case of
 the Cuban Five. It features interviews with Cuban National Assembly
 president Ricardo Alarcón, former CIA agent Philip Agee, attorney Leonard
 Weinglass, Andrés Gómez, a Cuban activist in Miami, and family members of
 the Five. The film will be followed by an open discussion led by the
 film’s co-director, Bernie Dwyer of Radio Havana Cuba. Dwyer is an
 Irishwoman who lives and works in Havana as a journalist. She was
 previously a lecturer in Women's Studies at University College in Dublin.
 "Mission Against Terror" is her fourth documentary film to be co-produced
 with Cuban Television’s Roberto Ruiz Rebo.  $5 - $10 suggested donation;
 sponsored by Peninsula Peace and Justice Center, World Centric, and Peace
 Umbrella of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Palo Alto.\n
