DESCRIPTION:  Hey all, if you are in the Bay Area, please plan on joining the   African 
 American community leaders as they march for an end to   violence in San 
 Francisco.  Last year, SF passed Oakland as the homicide capital of the 
 state   with 88 deaths. This year there are at least 8 and possibly 10   
 homicides in SF. The majority of these violent acts happen in the low   
 income, African American and minority communities.  Progressive activists 
 from other parts of the City are strongly   encouraged to attend to stand 
 behind the mothers and families who   have been impacted by this epidemic.  
 Our presence will help   spotlight the need for greater resources and 
 responses to violence.   Please join us!  Supervisors Ross Mirkarimi, Chris 
 Daly and Sophie Maxwell, and other   prominent City leaders will be there. 
 SF musical phenomena Loco Bloco   youth drum corps will lead the march.  
 Dress warmly, and bring a candle for the vigil if you have one.  COMMUNITY 
 ANNOUCEMENT:  STAND FOR PEACE on "Our Streets"  A Call To Remembrance 
 Candlelight Vigil  88 homicides occurred in our City last year.  To date 8 
 persons are dead,  9 others, victims of gun violence  Take a Stand with 
 surviving Families and other concerned Community  members.  A CALL FOR 
 PEACE on our streets Now!!!  Date: Friday, February 4, 2005  Time: 6pm 
 sharp.  Location: McLaren Childcare Center, 2099 Sunnydale Ave  at 2055 
 Sunnydale Ave. (Visitacion Valley)  For more information or to confirm your

 DIRECTIONS: Since public transit to this area is very limited (an   example 
 of how few resources the area is allocated), it is acceptable   to drive 
 and we have arranged for ample parking across the street   from the 
 Childcare Center. Carpooling is strongly encouraged.    Public Transit: 
 Balboa Park BART, take the 29 Muni up Persia to   Sunnydale Ave and exit 
 there. The McClaren childcare center is about   a block up the street (Walk 
 East, up the hill).  Driving: From 280, take the Ocean Ave exit to Mission 
 Street and turn   Right onto Mission. The next street is Persia, turn left 
 there and go   up Persia until you get to Sunnydale Ave. Turn Right on 
 Sunnydale and   go East, up the hill. You will see the staging area and
