 – Salvadoran historian Americo Araujo will be the main speaker at a forum 
 about the 1932 massacre in El Salvador on its 73rd anniversary.  The 
 peasant/indigenous upraising of 1932 only lasted a few days but was put 
 down with the worst massacre in the Americas during the 20th Century. “La 
 Matanza” practically wiped out indigenous people in El Salvador, it also 
 obliterated the nascent Salvadoran revolutionary movement with the 
 execution of most of its leadership, including the legendary Farabundo
