DESCRIPTION:There will be four sections to the meeting, each with opening statements by 
 presenters and then an open mike to all in attendance to discuss each 
 topic, before going on to the next, so that there will be four discussion 
 sections.   1. Our priority is to stop the killing in Iraq. The principal 
 way that can be done is by an immediate US ceasefire and withdrawal of the 
 invasion forces. The presence of US troops is the main provocation to the 
 violence there. This change of US policy can only be accomplished by an 
 escalation of movement activism. Peace is in the hands of citizens because 
 the Bush administration and the Democratic Party at this moment, with 
 important exceptions, are both committed to continuing the fighting. This 
 requires ratcheting up our resistence. This thesis will be opened to 
 discussion by all.  2. What new forms of resistance and re-framing of more 
 familiar forms of opposition can citizens undertake to turn our government 
 around?  3. Where are the people in Marin on these issues? What do the 
 activists, the faith community, students, labor, the anti-recruitment group 
 and other sectors believe they can do to end the war?  4. Deciding on next

 Directions-  From the South: Take Hwy 101 North to the Freitas Parkway 
 exit, jog right then left through the intersection, heading North on 
 Redwood Hwy. Turn right on Professional and climb the hill to the church 
 parking lot.  From the North: Go South on Hwy 101, take the Freitas Parkway 
 exit. Cross over to the east side and head North on the frontage road, 
 Redwood Hwy. Turn right on Professional and continue up the hill to the 
 parking lot.
