DESCRIPTION:Sunday, December 19  2 PM  BIKE THE FREEWAY!!   The Freeway 180 extension 
 from Chestnut Ave. to Fowler has not yet succumbed to the noise, air 
 pollution, and general mayhem of automobile traffic. Instead, it remains 
 one of the biggest, quietest, safest, and cleanest bike lanes in the world! 
 One hundred yards wide and two miles long of smooth pavement, quiet, and 
 relatively clean air.   Join a fun-loving group of Yahoos, Critical 
 Massers, Rabble Rousers, FCBC folks, clean air advocates, livable community 
 activists and other despicable liberals, progressives, and n'er-do-wells 
 for a leisurely ride and reconnaissance of Fresno's newest bike 
 lane/freeway. We'll gather for a repast, refreshments, music, and bicycle 
 video along the way--Dallas and Stephen are the rolling music/video techies 
 and Chris will provide any needed bike repairs.   WHERE: Jensen and Watts 
 parking lot, northeast corner of Chestnut and Belmont   WHEN: Sunday, 
 December 19th at 2 pm, rain, snow, sleet, or shine.   WHAT TO BRING: 
 Yourself, friends and family, food/snacks for a potluck, your favorite 
 beverage  WHY: To ride on the world's biggest, quietest, safest, and 
 cleanest bike lane, of course. Also, to dream of what could be if we 
 allowed common sense, aesthetics, environmental integrity and community to 
 guide the spending of our transportation tax dollars.\n
