DESCRIPTION:December 10 11:45 a.m.- 12:45 p.m.  UCB Sproul Plaza  Berkeley, CA  Amnesty 
 International USA, the UNA-USA East Bay/UNICEF Center, , the Bears for 
 UNICEF and UC Berkeley Model UN, extends to you an invitation to 
 participate Human Rights Day at UC Berkeley.  The purpose of the event is 
 to bring an awareness of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights to the 
 UC Berkeley campus and community, and to commemorate this universal 
 document pioneered by Eleanor Roosevelt at the UN, which has become a solid 
 foundation for many human rights treaties and resolutions around the world. 
 The Center and groups will have an opportunity to present their information 
 tables with materials, and candles representing struggle for human rights.  
 This event is open to the public and targets anybody who will be passing by 
 on the Sproul Plaza on that last day of classes. A Tentative Program 
 includes: an Opening Statement by Rita Maran, UCB Professor of Human Rights 
 and UNA-USA East Bay Chapter President at 11:45 a.m., followed by Brief 
 Reflections (3 min. each) by the representatives of the student groups on 
 the importance of human rights work in their organizations. Around 12:15, 
 Merrill Collins will lead the group into a chant, which she wrote based on 
 the text of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.  For more
