DESCRIPTION:Students and Parents Get a Head Start on   Planning for College at the  San 
 Francisco Performing and Visual Arts College Fair    South San Francisco, 
 CA – The San Francisco Performing and Visual Arts College Fair will be 
 held Sunday, October 31, 2004, at the South San Francisco Conference Center 
 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. This free event will provide high-school 
 students with the tools they need to plan their future in the arts.  
 Sponsored by the National Association for College Admission Counseling 
 (NACAC), the fair is designed to assist students interested in pursuing 
 undergraduate and graduate programs of study in the areas of music, dance, 
 theater, visual arts, graphic design, and other related disciplines.   
 Students and parents will learn about educational opportunities, admission 
 and financial aid, portfolio days, audition and entrance requirements, and 
 much more by meeting with representatives from colleges, universities, 
 conservatories, festivals, and other educational institutions with 
 specialized programs in the visual and performing arts.   More Information

 postsecondary education. Founded in 1937, the association is committed to 
 maintaining high standards that foster ethical and social responsibility 
 among those involved in the transition process, as outlined in the NACAC 
 Statement of Principles of Good Practice. In Fall 2004 and Spring 2005, 
 NACAC will sponsor 16 Performing and Visual Arts College Fairs and 47
