 Last year hundreds of you came out in support of  Southern California 
 grocery workers in their fight to  protect healthcare for their families.  
 Now, our contract covering over 30,000 workers in  Northern California is 
 up and we are in need of your  help again.  The large grocery companies are 
 trying to  effectively eliminate healthcare for more than half of  their 
 workers by creating a two-tier system for new  hires.  The majority of the 
 costs will be picked up by  taxpayers when these families are forced to get 
 their  healthcare from the County public health systems.  Please join us 
 this October 15th in San Francisco to  send a loud message to Safeway CEO 
 Steve Burd and the  other grocers:  We will Fight to Defend Healthcare in
