DESCRIPTION:Sacramento’s Premier Local Film Event Celebrates Fifth Year A Place
Called Sacramento 2004 October 2nd: 2PM Premiere Presentation October
3rd: 2pm Encore What: Each year Access Sacramento hosts the local
film celebration, A Place Called Sacramento (PCS). PCS is Sacramento’s
ORIGINAL local film making exhibition consisting of ten new films
commissioned by Access Sacramento each year. Over the years, the program
has gained so much in popularity that it has encouraged many new film
artists and even other film contests. All funds go to support non-profit,
non-commercial community media and PCS is the annual fundraising event for
Access Sacramento, a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation. Why? Since its
inception, A Place Called Sacramento (PCS) has initiated the creation of
nearly 50 digitally produced short films that speak to the very heart and
character of our region. These efforts have encouraged and supported the
growth of digital film production in our community and provided a classic
venue to enjoy this unique community building, family-friendly event. This
year the BIG screen at the Crest Theater will see 10 new films including
some truly original works like The Adventures of Sac Man and Yard Sale (see
list below). When/Where This historic program is gearing up for our 2004
