DESCRIPTION:North Berkeley Gallivant Series #1   "Gallivant" is a performance series 
 that offers an opportunity for established and emerging artists to present 
 and receive audience feedback on works-in-progress in an informal, 
 arts-facility setting.   We welcome dance and movement pieces of diverse 
 styles and approaches in the fields of postmodern, jazz, and traditional 
 folkdance. Pieces may be up to ten minutes in length.   We also welcome 
 submissions from artists working in other disciplines such as theatre, 
 music, circus and visual arts, in which they are exploring the integration 
 of dance and /or movement in their work. Artists who have completed basic 
 training in at least one artistic form are invited to apply.   We provide 
 the venue, post performance reception at Nascent Project in North Berkeley, 
 CA.   Openings are available for the following upcoming performance: Oct.
