DESCRIPTION:Cinemayaat, the Arab Film Festival (AFF) is celebrating its eighth year 
 with screenings of approximately 25 independently produced feature films, 
 documentaries and shorts.  In contrast to mass media’s frequently 
 negative portrayal of Arab culture, The Arab Film Festival showcases Arab 
 culture through Arab eyes. It also seeks to find a shared experience 
 through artistic expression – history and humanity, love and life - in a 
 time when mass media focuses solely on the distance between American and
