DESCRIPTION:Protest the Layoffs & Unsafe Staffing @ BART. On Mat 27 2004, all but 3 
 directors voted to approve the budget with layoffs. Directors Raduovich, 
 Ward Allen & Sweet all voted aganist layoffs. BART continues to target: 
 Tranist Vehicles Mechanics trains are running longer hours & distance. 
 System Service Workers who are the eyes & ears of the district, system 
 service(end of the line cleaners) & (station cleaners) who sweep the trains 
 for suspicous packages & report  packages to the proper authorties, clean 
 up hazzards,blood, glass,newspapers(fire hazzards) and will help evacuate 
 the public in a diaster or emergency. Utility Workers and Clerks. BART 
 continues to protect it's bloated admininstration & management. To date, 
 all efforts to avoid layoffs have been unsuccessful. We will continue to 
 fight. A press conference will be held just before the BART Board of 
 Directors meeting to publicly denounce these layoffs.\n
