DESCRIPTION:  Join the Green Party of Alameda County and labor activists  for a 
 spirited discussion about the role of the labor movement in the struggle 
 for independent politics. Participants will include Clarence Thomas, a 
 leader of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) and 
 Claudette Begin of the Coalition of University Employees (CUE).      
 Clarence is a leader on the community advisory committee that monitors 
 compliance with the social justice aspects of the labor agreement at the 
 Port of Oakland. Claudette is co-chair of the Campaign Strategy Committee 
 for CUE.  This is a Green Sunday forum.  Green Sundays are a series of free 
 programs & discussions sponsored by the Outreach Working Group of the Green 
 Party of Alameda County (GPAC). They are held on the second Sunday of each
