Start BIO 2004 with a truly international flair! Guests will be welcomed to
BIO 2004 at the vast, unbroken expanse of the Festival Pavilion at Ft.
Mason. In 1976, after serving our country through four wars, Fort Mason was
a collection of empty piers and draft warehouses. Today, after extensive
revitalization, the Fort is the hub of the world's largest urban national
park, and the nine buildings of the former Army base have been converted to
cultural and educational use. Tonight's International Welcome celebrates
the widespread presence of the life sciences industry around the world on
six continents with integrated décor, cuisine and entertainment. Open to
all full-meeting registrants and Monday-only full registrants. Shuttles
will be provided from identified hotels. Following the reception, guests
will have the option of being taken to Pier 39, San Francisco's #1
Attraction - a festival marketplace with more than 110 stores, 11
full-service restaurants with Bay views and numerous fun-filled attractions
to experience the hospitality of San Francisco. Please note, there return
 shuttle will not be provided.\n
