DESCRIPTION:Come meet ISM volunteer BRIAN AVERY, hear his story and learn  his views on 
 the situation in Palestine.  LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED.  FRIDAY March 19th,  
 12:00 - 1:30 PM  126 Barrows Hall at UC Berkeley  FREE TO THE PUBLIC  A few 
 weeks after an Israeli bulldozer crushed Rachel Corrie to death,  
 International Solidarity Movement activist Brian Avery was standing in the  
 Jenin refugee camp, arms raised over his head, wearing a reflective orange  
 vest, when Israeli soldiers shot him in the face at point-blank range.  In  
 this unprovoked attack, the soldiers drove up to Avery and a fellow  
 nonviolent activist, and opened fire from their armored personnel carrier.  
 The heavy machinegun fire tore through Avery’s face and left him clinging 
 to  life.  Come have lunch with Brian, hear his story and his first-hand  
 perspective on the Israeli occupation of Palestine and prospects for peace.
