 President of Seeds of Peace and former Deputy Special Middle East 
 Coordinator for the U.S. State Department. He also served as the Deputy 
 Special Middle East Coordinator for Arab-Israeli negotiations, Senior 
 Member of the State Department's Policy Planning Staff, in the Bureau of 
 Intelligence and Research and in the Office of the Historian.  He has 
 received the Department's Distinguished, Superior, and Meritorious Honor 
 Awards. Dr. Miller received his Ph.D. in American Diplomatic and Middle 
 East  History from the University of Michigan.   Seeds of Peace is a 
 non-profit, non-political organization dedicated to preparing teenagers 
 from areas of conflict with the leadership skills required to promote 
 coexistence and peace. Seeds of Peace started in the Middle East in 1993 
 and is now working with young people from 22 countries worldwide.  Dr.
