 SPEAKERS:   BISHARA T. COSTANDI   Bishara Costandi is a community and union 
 organizer, a member of Labor Committee for Peace and Justice and US Labor 
 Against the War (USLAW). He is the coordinator of Arabs Building Community, 
 a local collaborative primarily concerned with domestic, social justice 
 issues. Bishara is a Palestinian, born in the city of Yafa, next to which 
 Tel Aviv first started as a settlement. He lived in Lebanon before moving 
 to the U.S., and holds a BA in Political Science and a Masters in 
 Organizational Development for low-income and "people of color" CBOs.   
 NAOMI LAUTER   Naomi Lauter continues after 20 years on the staff of the 
 American Israel Public Affairs Committee, which centers on fostering strong 
 bonds between Israel and the United States. Currently she is a consultant 
 for the AIPAC and travels around the U.S. to strengthen grassroots support. 
 She is also a past board member of the Organize Training Center, the ACLU, 
 and KQED. In the 1960s and '70's she was deeply involved in integrating the 
 San Francisco Unified School District and was an early founder and 
 president of the Friends of SNCC.   DR. SHLOMI RAVID   Dr. Shlomi Ravid is 
 a native and life-long Kibbutz member from Israel. He is also a lifelong 
 member of the "Peace Camp" in Israel. Shlomi has earned a doctorate in 
 Philosophy from Tel Aviv University and his dissertation on the changing of 
 the Kibbutz in Israel was published in 1999. His academic and public work 
 in the last few years has focused on the challenges of community building 
 in Israel and the Jewish world. In 2002 Shlomi resumed the position of 
 Executive Director of the Israel Center at the Jewish Community Federation 
 of San Francisco and the Bay Area, which he founded in 1996.   UDA WALKER   
 Uda Walker is the Political Education Coordinator for the Middle East 
 Children's Alliance in Berkeley. She lived in the Occupied Territories from 
 1999-2001 and worked as a human rights researcher and international 
 campaigner for Palestinian NGOs. She holds a bachelor's degree in 
 International Relations and a master's degree in Government and Politics of
