DESCRIPTION:Video Abstractions: Patterns in the Natural and Built Environment (2 parts)
A pelican splashes into the marsh and the reflected outline of a cityscape
shimmers in a nearby puddle. Crissy Field is a place on the edge—a place
where the city meets the bay and the urban landscape meets the natural
world. In this workshop, you will make use of this unique setting to
experiment with abstract patterns of movement using video equipment. In the
first session, you will learn to use our digital camcorders and go into the
field to shoot your footage. In the second session, you will learn to edit
your work on the computer, experimenting with titling, sound, and special
effects. Take home a VHS tape of your completed work. You must be familiar
with basic computer operations such as browsing and file-saving. Two
 Sundays, February 1 & 8; 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Fee: $35 per person*
Instructor: Rob Weinberg *PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED. Please call
