DESCRIPTION:Kate Raphael, a lesbian from the Bay Area, was arrested in Palestine on 
 December 31 as part of a demonstration against Israel’s apartheid 
 wall,\nwhich is planned to surround the community of Budrus. She was 
 arrested while video-taping the Israeli soldiers who attacked the 
 demonstration. That afternoon the Israeli government ordered the 
 deportation of Kate and three other international activists arrested at the 
 demonstration. Kate is\nresisting deportation, and has been held since 
 December 31 in a prison at Hadera.  \n\nActivists from several groups in 
 the Bay Area are calling a demonstration for Tuesday, January 6, from 4-6 
 p.m. at the Israeli Consulate in San\nFrancisco, 456 Montgomery St. (at 
 California). The demonstration will demand that the Israeli 
 government:\nImmediately release Kate, annul her deportation order, and 
 cease all actions against her and other human rights activists\nStop the 
 apartheid wall\nWithdraw from the occupied territories\nRecognize the right 
 of return for all Palestinians\nKate is a member of the International 
 Women's Peace Service (IWPS) which is documenting human rights abuses, and 
 taking non-violent actions to oppose land confiscations, home demolitions, 
 imprisonments, restrictions on\nmovement, etc.  For more information on
