 Francisco Immigrant Voter Coalition, the San Francisco Tabernacle 
 Congregations, Media Alliance and Accion Latina/El Tecolote.  >  >"This is 
 a valuable opportunity for California¹s ethnic media and their audiences 
 to learn more about one of the most intriguing candidates for president," 
 says NCM executive director Sandy Close. "In a state whose rapidly changing 
 demographics make for complex voting patterns, ethnic and minority media 
 play a key role in stimulating voter participation. NCM is honored to 
 co-host this first in a series of newsmaker briefings surrounding the 2004 
 presidential race."   >  >NCM Up Front Radio host Sandip Roy will moderate 
 the event, which will begin with questions from a panel of ethnic media 
 journalists representing the diverse communities of San Francisco and the 
 state of California. They are: Mei-Ling Sze, news anchor for KTSF Channel 
 26 Chinese language news, Harrison Chastang, news director for KPOO 89.5 
 FM‹an independent African-American owned and operated radio station, 
 Beatriz Ferrari, reporter for Univision KDTV Channel 14, and Maya 
 Pressnall, editor of Roaddawgz‹a publication by and for homeless youth. 
 The second half of the briefing will be dedicated to additional media and
