 and Activism” featuring\nMadonna Thunder Hawk\n\nWe are honored to 
 present a special evening with Madonna Thunder Hawk, \nveteran American 
 Indian Movement activist and community organizer.  \nThunder Hawk was 
 involved in every major action during the Red Power \nMovement, from the 
 occupation of Alcatraz to Wounded Knee, and on the \nglobal stage as tribal 
 representative to the UN World Conference \nAgainst Racism. She continues 
 her grassroots activism, recently \nestablishing the South Dakota Chapter 
 of First Nations North and South \n– an American Indian community 
 empowerment and rights group linking \nNative communities regardless of 
 state imposed borders.\n\nThis benefit art show features the work of two 
 artists; landscape \nphotographer Justin Carder Black and social commentary 
 painter Joanna \nSalska. Their work will be on display from November 1st 
 through \nNovember 30th. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of artwork 
 and \nany donations will be used to fund the activities of the South Dakota 
 \nChapter of First Nations North and South.\n\nThe North Gate Gallery is
