DESCRIPTION:This free event is sponsored by Peninsula Peace and Justice 
 Center.\n\nGeorge Bisharat, a Professor at Hastings College of the Law, has 
 lived, studied, and traveled throughout the Middle East and North Africa, 
 with extended sojourns in Beirut, Tunis, Cairo, and the Israeli-occupied 
 West Bank.  In recent years, Professor Bisharat has consulted with the 
 Palestinian Legislative Council over the structure of the Palestinian 
 judiciary, reforms in criminal procedure, and other aspects of legal 
 development.  He also is concerned with problems of social identity, 
 ethnicity, race, and racism, and their interrelations with law and the 
 legal system in the United States and abroad.\n\nThe program will taped for 
 rebroadcast throughout November: Wednesdays at 11:05 pm on Channel 28 and 
 Sundays at 12:30 pm on Channel 27.  It is part of the ongoing “Other 
 Voices” television series produced by Peninsula Peace and Justice Center.
