DESCRIPTION:About The Forum:\n------------------\nAfter 56 years of Indian
independence, Kashmir remains the long-standing unresolved dispute which
plagues\nthe subcontinent and has become the nuclear flashpoint, bleeding
the Kashmiris and the economy of both India and\nPakistan, driving them to
a mad arms race.\n\nThis forum will strive to present a balanced view on
the Kashmir 'problem' by taking a critical look at the role both India and
Pakistan have played in bringing the region\nto its current state. The
focus will not stray far from the plight of the people of Kashmir, of all
communities, who have borne the brunt of the fall-out from decisions being
made in Islamabad and New Delhi.\n\nThe speakers will also address possible
ways to resolve the seemingly intractable conflict in the region so that
the people\nof Kashmir, including those who have had to flee their homes
and become refugees in India and Pakistan, can start rebuilding
 their\nlives in
 peace.\n-----------------------------------------------\n\nTopic: A
