DESCRIPTION:This free event is sponsored by Peninsula Peace and Justice Center.\n\nThe 
 “Take Back Our Country” rally will feature author Jim Hightower as well 
 as speakers and musicians from the local community.  Many local progressive 
 groups are expected to attend the fair, including Veterans for Peace, 
 Health Care for All, Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom, 
 Foundation for Global Community, and Environmentalists Against War, among 
 others.  This will be a unique opportunity for members of the community to 
 find out more about local Peninsula groups and get involved in their work; 
 it will also be a great opportunity for groups to connect with each other.  
 Peninsula Peace and Justice Center is committed to alliance-building and 
 active citizenship as foundations for political change, and we are pleased 
 to have this opportunity to bring people together and work towards those 
 goals.\n\nJim Hightower, the author of Thieves in High Places: They’ve 
 Stolen Our Country and It’s Time to Take It Back, will also be speaking
