DESCRIPTION:Lake Merritt Neighbors Organized for Peace (LMNOP) invites you to join us 
 on a weekly peace walk around beautiful Lake Merritt in the heart of 
 Oakland.  We gather at 3:00 every Sunday at the east end of the Lake, as 
 described above.  After brief announcements, we walk leisurely & relatively 
 quietly, talking with each other, & waving to people in cars who honk in 
 support.  Many people bring peace signs.  We usually have 40 to 100 people, 
 although we had 200 the day the bombing of Afghanistan began.  We'd like to 
 have that many & more each week so please come & join us.  It's a beautiful 
 location, a nice walk (almost 3 miles) with like-minded folks, & an easy, 
 pleasant way to show your opposition to this horrible war.  \n
