 and what Newsom now acknowledges is a watered down version of the Care 
 promised. He will take the cash away, kick one group of people out of 
 shelters, to make room for his group of people in the shelter and call that 
 housing.\n\nProgressives need to do more than unmask the deception they 
 must also familarize themselves with the great successes some of the 
 nonprofits are having helping people get back on their feet. \n\nPeople 
 need to be told that there are good programs operating and what is needed 
 is more money for them. The successes need to be emphasized. This is not 
 cheap though, and Newsom's cookie cutter approach and security state 
 orientation is not the way to help people reach their full potential.\n
